UAV Test Pilot – Nordics

About the role

STARK is seeking a UAV Test Pilot for the Nordics region to bridge digital design and real‑world flight. Based in Stockholm, you will work closely with Flight Test Engineers to plan, execute and report flight tests on experimental and production unmanned aircraft, ensuring performance, safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct remote piloting of fixed‑wing and multirotor UAVs during development and validation campaigns, testing the full flight envelope.
• Execute test programmes with precision, monitor live telemetry and video streams, and maintain situational awareness of aircraft health.
• Collaborate with ground control station operators, observers and engineers in high‑pressure environments.
• Contribute to test site selection, flight‑profile design, hazard analysis and weather assessment.
• Prepare UAV systems, verify control links, and perform functional checks before each sortie.
• Lead safety assessments, manage risk, and respond to anomalies or emergencies.
• Ensure airspace de‑confliction in line with SORA and EASA regulations and support licensing documentation across Europe.

Required profile

• Valid EU A1/A3 Remote Pilot Certificate (EASA) and ability to obtain a radio operator certificate (e.g., BZF) immediately.
• Proven manual piloting experience with high‑performance fixed‑wing and multirotor UAVs.
• Strong understanding of flight‑test planning, telemetry monitoring and safety procedures.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast‑paced environment.
