UAV Pilot / GCS Operator (Production & Validation)

About the role

As a UAV Pilot / GCS Operator you will be the final gatekeeper of quality and safety for production‑level unmanned aircraft. Working closely with Flight Test Engineers, you will execute, monitor and report flight tests that certify each system before it leaves the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct remote piloting and ground control station (GCS) operation for production flight tests.
• Execute standardized test programmes with high repeatability to validate performance.
• Monitor live telemetry and video streams in real‑time, ensuring conditions stay within the test envelope.
• Prepare aircraft pre‑flight, verify control links, and perform comprehensive functional checks.
• Maintain rigorous logbooks and regulatory records for every airframe.
• Lead airspace monitoring and de‑confliction according to SORA and EASA requirements, and respond to anomalies following safety protocols.

Required profile

• Valid EU A1/A3 and A2 Remote Pilot Certificates (EASA) and a radio operator certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• Proven experience with professional GCS software, mission‑planning tools and telemetry monitoring.
• Familiarity with flight‑safety protocols, especially BVLOS operations.
• Citizenship of a NATO member state due to export‑control and security regulations.
