UAV Technician Nordics

About the role

Stark, a defense technology company, is looking for a UAV Technician to support flight‑test operations in the Nordics. The role focuses on the Virtus product line, ensuring drones operate reliably in extreme cold and Arctic conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, integrate and troubleshoot UAVs on‑site during flight tests.
• Diagnose and replace components such as flight controllers, ESCs, brushless motors and heating elements in the field.
• Fine‑tune anti‑icing systems and cold‑weather modifications.
• Debug low‑level hardware communications (CAN bus, PWM signals, power distribution).
• Prepare mission equipment, support pre‑flight checks, manage battery charging and ground support.
• Operate data‑logging and telemetry tools for post‑flight analysis.
• Assist with airspace safety, range clearance and compliance with SORA/EASA requirements.
• Provide documented feedback to engineering teams in Germany.

Required profile

• Experience building or maintaining FPV copters or similar UAVs.
• Ability to work independently in harsh, cold environments.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and capacity to make on‑the‑spot decisions.
• Good communication skills to liaise with pilots and engineers.
• Willingness to travel within the Nordic region.
