Senior Project Lead – Industrial Decarbonisation Projects

About the role

SaltX develops the Electric Arc Calciner (eAC), a patented electric plasma technology that replaces fossil-driven heating with renewable electricity in the quicklime and cement industries. As a Senior Project Lead you will drive delivery of engineering and procurement packages from late-stage engineering through manufacturing, delivery and commissioning support, focusing on the execution phase where engineering designs are turned into robust, manufacturable and operable systems integrated into customer-owned plants. You will manage what happens on-site and coordinate with customers, strategic partners and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own delivery of engineering and procurement packages, managing scope from FEED through detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication and delivery
• Ensure designs are complete, coordinated and aligned with customer and EPC requirements
• Act as main point of contact between customers, partners and internal and external engineering teams during construction and commissioning
• Coordinate cross-disciplinary teams of internal and external experts to deliver on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards
• Create a productive, collaborative environment in a lean and agile project team
• Build strong relationships with customers and ensure a smooth handover, communicating complex information clearly
• Work closely with engineering, commercial and R&D teams

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field
• Significant senior-level project management experience, specifically in the process industry
• Hands-on experience leading the execution phase of large-scale industrial projects
• Experience in lime, cement, pulp & paper or other heavy process industries is highly valued; supplier/EPC experience is particularly meritorious
• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities
• Fluency in English; professional proficiency in Swedish is highly advantageous and strongly preferred
