Senior ASIC Verification Engineer

About the role

The ASIC Verification team at Axis in Lund verifies the in-house developed hardware IPs and subsystems before silicon, using simulation and formal methods. The team works on the ARTPEC SoC family, including the 10th generation, and uses agile methods. The role is permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Verify complex chip designs and SoC projects, including embedded microprocessors, from specification and modelling through to tape-out.
• Follow the advanced verification flow and environments, which rely heavily on object-oriented frameworks.
• Debug and identify problems in the hardware design.
• Keep up with new developments in ASIC verification, which may include investigating new technologies or evaluating new tools.
• Depending on interest, write papers and present at international conferences.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Experience on several projects developing sophisticated compute subsystems or SoCs, from specification and modelling to tape-out.
• Experience verifying SoC projects or systems including embedded microprocessors.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of digital hardware.
• Verilog HDL and verification strategies including SystemVerilog, UVM and hardware/firmware co-verification.
• SoC architecture and development, including multi-clock domains, AXI/APB protocols, multi-power domains and reset architectures.
• Python, Tcl or another scripting language.
• Bonus: formal verification, clock domain crossing, power-aware verification, TLM and SystemC.
