Projektingenjör – Järnväg (Göteborg)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced railway project engineer for a full‑time consulting assignment with Trafikverket’s investment projects in the western region of Sweden. The position is based on site in Gothenburg and requires close collaboration with project managers and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support one or several project managers with planning, administration and follow‑up of time, cost, scope, risk, resources, quality, safety, environment and occupational health.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports and control registers.
• Coordinate meetings with consultants, contractors and other parties, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
• Produce data and analysis for monitoring contractor deliveries and project performance.
• Assist other project units within the organization when needed.

Required profile

• Degree in civil engineering, railway engineering or a related field.
• Several years of experience working on railway or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work flexibly, adapt to changing priorities and collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent in Swedish and proficient in English, both written and spoken.
