Head Chef

About the role

Trattoria Giorgio's is looking for a Head Chef to lead its busy, high‑volume kitchen in Stockholm. You will be responsible for maintaining smooth operations during service, supporting and developing the kitchen team, and ensuring that food standards are consistently met with pride and discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen team through prep, service and daily operations.
• Deliver consistent food quality, presentation and kitchen standards.
• Coach, train and develop chefs across all sections.
• Manage stock, ordering, waste and food cost with strong attention to detail.
• Ensure hygiene, food safety and compliance standards are followed at all times.
• Work closely with the General Manager to support strong restaurant performance.
• Build a positive, hard‑working kitchen culture based on teamwork and accountability.

Required profile

• Strong experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef or senior kitchen leader.
• Confidence leading a busy, high‑volume kitchen.
• Understanding of food cost, stock control, ordering and kitchen profitability.
• Ability to train, coach and motivate a team with clear standards.
• Leads by example and stays calm under pressure.
• Commitment to consistency, cleanliness and operational discipline.
• Belief that great kitchens are built through teamwork, ownership and respect.
