Sustainability Engagement Manager – Corporate Controversies

About the role

ISS STOXX is looking for a Sustainability Engagement Manager – Corporate Controversies in Stockholm to join its global Sustainability Engagement team. ISS STOXX offers stewardship and engagement solutions, including collaborative engagement with companies on behalf of investors, supporting responsible investors in active ownership, disclosure and reporting on sustainability issues.

Key responsibilities

• Hold engagement dialogues with companies through written correspondence and virtual meetings
• Analyse company responses and produce commentary, engagement metrics and quarterly and annual reports for investor clients
• Coordinate engagement activities and deliverables by agreed deadlines
• Contribute to internal quality management and coordinate responses to internal and external enquiries
• Work with Research and Methodology teams and support Sales and Client Success with product presentations
• Monitor industry and market developments, contribute to new engagement services and work with Marketing and Communications on promoting products
• Help produce thought leadership on stewardship and engagement

Required profile

• 5-10 years of relevant experience
• Strong academic qualifications (Master's desirable but not required)
• Fluent English, written and spoken
• Excellent knowledge of sustainability and responsible investment
• Interest in corporate controversies on global norms on business malpractice, human rights, environmental protection and labour standards
• Preferred: previous stewardship/engagement experience and fluency in another language
