Senior SAP Basis Expert

About the role

You will ensure that SAP platforms reliably support business processes, focusing on stability, security and continuous evolution across on‑premise and cloud environments. Your work directly influences the performance of critical enterprise systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead SAP Basis activities including installations, upgrades, patches, kernel updates, system copies, database administration and OS‑level coordination.
• Design, implement and operate SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services covering integrations, extensions, connectivity, security and platform lifecycle decisions.
• Analyse business and technical requirements, design solutions for identified gaps and create specifications and test plans.
• Provide support for incidents and production issues, ensuring swift resolution.
• Act as a senior advisor and mentor, driving continuous improvement across teams.

Required profile

• Strong technical foundation in SAP Basis with extensive hands‑on experience.
• Academic background in IT and proven capability in managing SAP system operations.
• Experience maintaining SAP RISE landscapes and working with hyperscale cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS and GCP.
• Practical experience with SAP BTP and a forward‑looking mindset.
• Professional working proficiency in English, analytical mindset and calm approach to technical challenges.
