Project Manager, Production Investment Projects

About the role

ABB is looking for a skilled and motivated Project Manager to join its MOHP Operations team in Västerås. The role leads strategically important manufacturing investment projects, from Gate 0 kick-off to Gate 6 close-out, and works alongside experienced project management colleagues. It is an extension of the Project Management team and is based on the production site in Västerås.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver mid-size to large-scale investment projects worth about 5 to 25 million SEK, meeting quality, budget and time targets.
• Manage project resources and risks in an effective, transparent and professional way.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in project execution by sharing knowledge and driving defined improvement activities.
• Represent the project internally and externally, including inspections and verifications at suppliers, stakeholder meetings and formal project close-outs.

Required profile

• First-hand experience in industrial project management, including machinery investments and infrastructure-related installations such as electricity, ventilation and construction.
• At least 3 years of solid experience in project management and industrial investments, ideally including customized machinery equipment with automation solutions.
• Ability to handle several projects (about 2-3) in parallel.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or another relevant post-secondary education.
• Excellent written and spoken Swedish and English.
• Driver's license category B.

Required skills

• Project planning tools such as MS Project and WBS Scheduler.
• Cost follow-up and budgeting, for example in SAP.
• RFQ processes, supplier negotiations, stakeholder communication and risk management.
