Portfolio, Data & Analytics Specialist

About the role

Nasdaq is looking for a Portfolio, Data & Analytics Specialist in Stockholm, reporting to the Senior Director, Product Portfolio Operations & Transformation. The role sits at the intersection of strategy, business, technology and analytics: it builds and runs the engine behind the Financial Technology division's capital allocation process, turning complex portfolio and financial data into strategic insights and recommendations. It works closely with Finance, Product Strategy and Product Engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Build and run the portfolio data setup: the business-case and financial dataset, portfolio taxonomy, data model and sources.
• Run the business case approval process end to end with Finance: intake, sign-off forms, RACI, review cadence and linkage to financial forecasting.
• Analyze capital allocation against key business priorities (investment, capacity, horizon mix, value realization) and turn findings into recommendations for portfolio construction and trade-offs.
• Maintain the Operational and Transformation KPI dashboard with Finance.
• Support the development of key business cases and prepare portfolio materials and recommendations for quarterly and annual planning and senior management forums.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business analytics, engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in strategy, management consulting, corporate finance, FP&A, business analytics, investment analysis or a comparable role.
• Experience designing and running recurring business processes with multiple stakeholders and governance layers.
• Ability to work across global teams and time zones, with excellent English communication skills.
• High attention to detail, accuracy and traceability.

Required skills

• Excel modelling and BI or visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Working knowledge of AI tools and applications, or a genuine interest in applying AI to analysis and reporting.
• Preferred: advanced degree (e.g. MBA, MSc in Finance or Analytics), experience in financial services, fintech or software, and familiarity with product P&L and capital-allocation frameworks.
• Preferred: working knowledge of planning or financial systems such as Anaplan.
