Master's Thesis: AI Experiences & Future Interaction

About the role

Huawei Sweden R&D is looking for a Master's student to join its small, creative design team at the UCD Lab in Lund. The project explores how AI changes the way people interact with technology, and what the next generation of digital experiences could look and feel like. The lab specialises in user experience design for consumer products such as mobile phones, PCs, TVs, smartwatches and other wearables.

Key responsibilities

• Explore topics such as AI-powered interactions, personalised experiences, seamless cross-device ecosystems, AI transparency and interpretability, and multimodal interactions.
• Take part in concept ideation, sketching, visual design production, animation and prototyping.
• Pitch ideas to different stakeholders.

Required profile

• Master's student in Interaction Design, UX/UI, Industrial Design or a related creative field.
• An eye for visual craft and details.
• Curiosity about AI, new technologies and design trends.
• Enjoys collaboration, experimentation, sharing unfinished ideas and iterating.
• Able to bring concepts to life in interactive formats, prototypes or visual storytelling.
• Can communicate, pitch and present ideas clearly and enthusiastically.

Required skills

• Confident use of Figma.
• Use of AI inference tools.
