Safety Specialist

About the role

HITACHI ENERGY SWEDEN AB is looking for a Safety Specialist in Ludvika, Dalarna County. The role serves as the local expert and trusted advisor on safety, business continuity and compliance, reporting directly to the Unit Manager and working with the network of Safety Coordinators and the Country Security Managers for Sweden. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Drive and support business continuity initiatives while ensuring compliance with company standards, regulations and best practices.
• Identify, assess and mitigate workplace and environmental risks, and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Lead and coordinate trainings, audits, inspections and risk assessments, and guide managers and employees.
• Lead investigations of incidents, accidents and compliance concerns, ensuring root causes are found and preventive actions taken.
• Work with authorities, local communities and internal stakeholders to improve environmental and safety performance and protect the company's reputation.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in EHS, HSE, Safety, Risk Management, Compliance or Business Continuity in an industrial, manufacturing or technical environment.
• Solid understanding of environmental and occupational health and safety legislation, standards and best practices.
• Experience conducting audits, risk assessments and incident investigations with a structured, analytical approach.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills; previous managerial experience is considered a merit.
