Project Technical Engineering Specialist - Cybersecurity & Networking

About the role

HITACHI ENERGY SWEDEN AB is looking for a Project Technical Engineering Specialist Professional to join its HVDC team in Ludvika, Dalarna County. The role provides advanced technical expertise and leadership for complex Offshore Wind Connection projects, covering Cybersecurity and Networking solutions across systems in the Tender and Projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Cybersecurity and Networking design for IT/OT systems such as High Voltage AC, HVDC, CCTV, telephone, PIDS and PAGA, to established standards and best practices.
• Provide expert technical guidance and support to project teams through the full lifecycle: concept, base design, detail design, supplier documentation review, deployment and post-implementation.
• Carry out technical analysis, feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed engineering solutions.
• Develop and review technical specifications, architectural designs and implementation plans.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and propose innovative solutions.
• Work with R&D, manufacturing and sales teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering or equivalent experience from a comparable position.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (e.g. Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science or related).
• At least 14 years of progressive experience in technical engineering roles, with a significant share in project-oriented environments.
• Proven expertise in at least one specialized engineering domain relevant to Hitachi's business (industrial automation, power systems, IT infrastructure, railway systems, renewable energy).
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical aspects of complex projects and guide engineering teams.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of system architecture, design principles and software/hardware integration.
• Cybersecurity and networking design knowledge.
