Tree Safety Manager – Environmental Focus

About the role

We are looking for a Tree Safety Manager with an environmental focus to support the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket). This full‑time consulting assignment can be performed remotely, with occasional field visits to sites across Sweden where special environmental considerations apply.

Key responsibilities

• Lead tree safety work for forest stands located in nature reserves, Natura 2000 sites, biotope‑protected areas, and locations with valuable cultural or natural assets.
• Handle permits, consultations, dispensations, and assess mitigation measures.
• Provide continuous support to project managers and may be responsible for planning and execution of tree felling operations.
• Collaborate closely with the client, ensuring flexibility and effective teamwork.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and the National Tree Programme.
• Experience working in protected natural areas and with environmental impact assessments.
• Ability to work independently and travel to field sites as needed.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
