Sales Engineer Tap-changers

About the role

HITACHI ENERGY SWEDEN AB, part of Hitachi Energy's Insulation and Components business, is looking for a Sales Engineer Tap-changers in Ludvika, Sweden. The company supplies transformer components to manufacturers worldwide and wants someone with strong technical knowledge of tap changers, a commercial drive and a genuine interest in working closely with customers and colleagues. The position supports the factory and regional teams in sales and marketing and trains the sales and tender team on the product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Apply tap-changer application knowledge to work closely with customers, marketing, sales and tender so that the solution matches customer needs
• Take an active part in events related to tap changers
• Identify portfolio gaps and feed R&D with market technology demand
• Develop product market material, including presentations and seminars on tap changers
• Update the quotation tool with pre-defined customer solutions
• Keep colleagues informed about product life-cycle status, including introductions, updates, phase-outs and replacement strategies
• Support the Risk Review process with technical input and identify technical risk triggers

Required profile

• At least three years of engineering experience in tap-changer technology
• Demonstrable leadership skills and a communicative approach, able to explain advanced technical knowledge simply
• Strategic mindset with a constant business sense
• Fluent written and spoken English, multilingual skills (e.g. Swedish, Spanish, German, French) an advantage
• International travel of approximately 30% required
