QA Engineer

About the role

Cunningham is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join its high‑performing team in Skelleftea, Sweden. You will report to the Quality Manager and be responsible for ensuring project quality and compliance across large‑scale construction works.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain project‑specific QA/QC procedures aligned with ISO standards, client requirements and company QMS.
• Monitor construction activities, conduct inspections of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical works, and verify compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Manage non‑conformance reports, corrective and preventive actions, and support internal and external quality audits.
• Coordinate material testing, commissioning documentation, and liaison with subcontractors, vendors and client representatives to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain accurate quality documentation, KPIs and provide regular performance reports to project management.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering or Construction.
• Proven experience as a QA/QC Engineer on large‑scale construction projects, preferably in data centres, industrial, pharmaceutical or high‑tech sectors.
• Strong understanding of CSA and MEP construction methods, quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication, organisational skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, technically complex environment.

Required skills

• Development and implementation of QA/QC procedures.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and project quality plans.
• Experience with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Ability to read and interpret multidisciplinary construction drawings and specifications.
