The project investigates how machine design parameters affect the e-NVH performance of traction machines using a multiphysics simulation framework, linking design features, electromagnetic forces, structural dynamics and acoustic response.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct a literature review of e-NVH mechanisms and noise reduction techniques in electric machines.
- Perform electromagnetic simulations for e-NVH analysis of traction machines.
- Investigate the influence of machine design parameters on e-NVH performance.
- Analyze the link between design features and e-NVH using simulation and post-processing techniques.
- Identify promising design solutions.
Required profile
- MSc student in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Physics or a related field.
- Good knowledge of electric machines and electromagnetic principles.
Required skills
- Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Experience with engineering simulation tools (e.g. ANSYS, preferred, or similar) is beneficial.
