Engineering Manager - Data Platform

About the role

As an Engineering Manager for the Data Platform, you will shape the data product strategy and drive the technical direction of Epidemic Sound’s data infrastructure. You will have the freedom to experiment with new tooling and processes while collaborating closely with engineering and product leaders across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Own team health, individual growth, and delivery for the Data Platform team.
• Align the platform roadmap with the broader engineering and data strategy.
• Stay hands‑on, contributing directly to day‑to‑day work.
• Partner with engineering and product leaders company‑wide to ensure platform direction meets their needs.
• Manage relationships with third‑party suppliers supporting the data platform.

Required profile

• Several years of experience as an Engineering Manager, capable of turning ambiguous plans into actionable work.
• Proven experience building and maintaining data platforms.
• Willingness to work hands‑on as an individual contributor when needed.
• Strong communication skills to bridge technical conversations with engineers and external stakeholders.
