Country HR Head Scandinavia (m/f/d)

About the role

Fresenius Global is looking for a Country HR Head (m/f/d) based in Uppsala, who will own the national HR agenda for the Scandinavia Cluster, which covers more than 1,000 FTE in Sweden and the region. The role combines strategic leadership with strong, hands-on operational involvement, with a major focus on the Operations and Production environment. You will advise the Country Leadership Team while delivering practical HR support at the operational level.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the national HR strategy aligned with global directives and adapted to production and operations
• Advise the Country Leadership Team on workforce planning, organizational design and transformation, and assess HR impacts of organizational changes
• Deploy global HR frameworks in talent management, compensation and benefits, leadership development, succession planning and performance management
• Work daily with plant and production leaders on operational HR support at the line
• Manage the employee lifecycle: contracts, shift models, workforce planning, time and attendance, and operational HR processes
• Handle labor relations, union collaboration and legal compliance, and collaborate with HR Operations, Payroll and Centers of Excellence
• Lead the Country HR Team across multiple legal entities and sites, professionalize HR processes and monitor HR KPIs such as absenteeism, turnover and workforce needs
• Strengthen cooperation between HR, Production and Supply Chain, and foster an inclusive, performance-oriented culture
• Ensure compliance with legal frameworks, collective agreements and regulations, and build strong relationships with leaders, employees and employee representatives

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Law, HR or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• At least 5 years of senior HR leadership experience, ideally in industrial, manufacturing or production environments within a global matrix organization
• Experience with the HR 3 Pillar model
• Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution
• Strong stakeholder management across the production floor to executive leadership
• Experience in HR transformation, process harmonization and change management
• Excellent English; additional languages are a plus
