Chemistry Expert (Remote, Sweden)

About the role

A remote, part-time contract project (10-20 hours per week, up to 40 USD per hour) for chemistry experts who design advanced, deterministic problems with exactly one verifiable correct answer. The problems feed STEM training data used by leading AI labs in their training and evaluation workflows. The project lasts 2 months, with possible extension.

Key responsibilities

• Design difficult chemistry problems that reflect real scientific workflows
• Create deterministic tasks with one correct answer and fully verified solutions
• Develop reasoning-intensive and computationally grounded problems
• Use Python and, where appropriate, domain-specific chemistry tools or simulation packages
• Ensure all tasks are reproducible, technically precise and clearly documented
• Write concise, rigorous technical explanations in English

Required profile

• Master's or PhD in Chemistry or a related field
• Research or industry experience with computational or quantitative chemistry workflows
• Ability to design original, difficult problems beyond textbook recall
• Nice to have: experience with computational chemistry, cheminformatics, spectroscopy analysis, molecular modeling or specialized chemistry software, and with professional chemistry workflows involving simulation or data analysis tools

Required skills

• Strong Python skills; familiarity with scientific libraries
• Understanding of modeling, numerical approaches and chemical reasoning
