Test Lead for Process Control Platform

About the role

ABB is developing the next generation of its Process Control Platform and needs a Test Lead to ensure quality, reliability and performance of this global product. You will lead a growing team of test engineers and drive advanced automated testing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Product Integration Test (PIT) team, currently 6‑7 engineers, and plan for growth.
• Design and implement automated test solutions for embedded controllers, engineering components, backend services, communication layers and software libraries.
• Ensure coverage of critical areas such as redundancy, hot‑swap, cybersecurity, safety, performance and system stability.
• Maintain and evolve the PIT test framework for global use across ABB.
• Report test progress, quality metrics and status to projects and stakeholders.
• Act as Scrum Master to coordinate test activities and improve test strategy and processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Test Lead or similar role in software and hardware development.
• Experience testing physical products and complex technical systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Software Engineering or related field.
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with automated testing and test frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of containerised environments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Azure DevOps.
• Scripting and basic software development capabilities.
