Senior Tender Manager HVDC

About the role

Hitachi Energy is looking for a Senior Tender Manager for its HVDC product group, based in Ludvika or Västerås, Sweden. The role leads a Bid & Proposal team covering the Northern European market, from early pursuit through contract signing and handover. It sits within the Bid & Proposals department, which handles large-scale HVDC greenfield projects worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a Bid & Proposal team of technical, commercial, legal, tax and insurance experts from early pursuit to contract signing and handover.
• Interpret customer requirements and turn them into a competitive end-to-end solution based on the Hitachi Energy portfolio.
• Shape and drive the overall tender strategy, aligning technical solutions, commercial positioning, pricing, risk and customer priorities.
• Lead customer interactions, clarifications and commercial negotiations, building strong relationships throughout the tender process.
• Work on complex tenders from both technical and commercial perspectives in a high-performing international environment.

Required profile

• Experience in large-scale system sales and tendering, or in managing large projects.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Technical or a related field.
• Technical and commercial experience with HVDC or similar technologies is an advantage.
• Strong leadership skills and a structured approach to guide the tendering team.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
