Senior Motion Designer

About the role

Kurppa Hosk is looking for a Senior Motion Designer to join its team in Stockholm as parental leave cover for at least 1 year. You will work closely with brand strategists, brand designers and digital designers to shape motion as a core part of how the group's brands come to life, leading motion workstreams on medium to large projects from early concept through animated identity assets, brand films and launch content.

Key responsibilities

• Lead motion workstreams in medium to large projects, from concept to final delivery
• Define motion languages for brand identities, creating assets and templates that evolve as the work expands
• Translate strategy, brand platforms and static designs into motion across formats and channels
• Create polished 2D motion graphics and animations for brand films, web, presentations and product marketing
• Lead 3D work, from technical product renders to abstract animated 3D visuals
• Edit brand films, including cutting footage, adding graphics and sound, and preparing final assets for different platforms
• Drive creative development within projects and teams, and mentor and support junior designers
• Present motion decisions confidently to clients and collaborate across disciplines and cross-agency initiatives
• Experiment with AI tools in your own work and help the team adopt what earns its place

Required profile

• Relevant education in motion design, graphic design, visual communication or similar
• At least 7 years of professional experience in motion design, with strong depth in both 3D and 2D
• Portfolio showing high-quality 3D modelling and rendering, 2D animation and motion graphics across brand contexts
• Ability to take projects from concept to delivery with minimal supervision
• Fluent English, written and spoken; additional languages including Swedish are a plus
• Authorization to work in Sweden (EU citizen or valid work visa)

Required skills

• Advanced Cinema 4D or Houdini, Redshift and Adobe After Effects
• Good knowledge of Figma; broader Adobe Creative Suite appreciated
• Understanding of animation principles, timing, composition, typography and visual storytelling
• Nice to have: Adobe Premiere Pro, sound design, basic character animation or rigging, active use of AI tools in motion workflows
