About the role

Join Sandvik's Production Technology & Geometrical Measuring team as an R&D Function Expert. You will shape the future of machining technologies and manufacturing methods by identifying emerging technologies, defining roadmaps, and translating knowledge into efficient production solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for machining development, set priorities and drive effective ways of working.
• Identify future machining technologies and knowledge needs based on strategic goals.
• Create and manage roadmaps, initiate projects and collaborate with internal and external partners.
• Translate new knowledge into product designs and production methods.
• Coach colleagues, share expertise and support competence development across the organization.

Required profile

• Academic background in mechanical engineering, engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong foundation in machining, manufacturing technology and a systematic scientific approach.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and influence stakeholders.
