About the role
This master thesis project focuses on developing a V2X‑based hazard detection system for eBikes. You will work within Bosch R&D Center Lund to create a functional prototype that processes V2X data on a low‑power embedded platform and alerts riders in real time.
Key responsibilities
- Integrate existing V2X software libraries into a FreeRTOS‑based embedded environment.
- Develop detection logic to identify relevant objects such as approaching vehicles.
- Optimize the solution to meet real‑time constraints on a resource‑limited microcontroller.
- Build a proof‑of‑concept that triggers warnings on an eBike display.
- Benchmark latency, CPU usage, and memory footprint to assess production feasibility.
Required profile
- Master student in Embedded Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong C programming skills.
- Interest or experience with FreeRTOS or other real‑time operating systems.
- Understanding of embedded system architecture and resource‑constrained development.
