Head of Compliance, Risk and Depositary Control

About the role

CACEIS, the asset servicing banking group of Crédit Agricole, is creating a new branch in Sweden and is looking for a Head of Compliance, Risk and Depositary Control. The role covers the AML/financial crime and regulatory compliance management plan (acting as MLRO, MLCO and Compliance Officer), the branch's risk framework (as Risk Officer) and the depositary control of fund investments. It is a permanent position based in Stockholm.

Key responsibilities

• Act as MLRO, MLCO and Compliance Officer for the branch and its administered funds: investigate internal SARs, ensure business and customer risk assessments are fit for purpose, develop or maintain control plans and run compliance control plan testing
• Manage oversight of higher-risk businesses and relationships (including PEPs), respond to regulator inquiries and prepare for on-site reviews and audits
• Prepare local management reports, manage local fund procedures and take part in enterprise-wide compliance initiatives
• As CRO of the branch: define and implement the risk mapping and control plan, implement group risk procedures, support group risk tools (Matrisk, PCAT) and guide business lines in operational risk management
• As Local Head of Depositary Control: set up regulatory depositary functions and handle depositary client onboarding, including initial and ongoing due diligence

Required profile

• Postgraduate degree (MA/MSc/PhD/Doctorate or equivalent)
• University degree and/or professional designation in compliance, law, risk management or audit
• 3-5 years of experience, including proven AML compliance experience
• Knowledge of the regulatory framework and of trust company and fund services business
• English and Swedish

Required skills

• Solid working knowledge of the Code of Practice for Funds Services Business and Collective Investment Funds regulation
• Sound working knowledge of internal policies and procedures and applicable laws
• MS Office, particularly Excel
• Good verbal and written skills, analytical thinking and strong interpersonal skills
