Credit Risk Management & Performance Analyst

About the role

We are looking for an analyst with strong business capabilities to join our team. This hands‑on role sits at the intersection of data analysis and business decision‑making, focusing on credit portfolio performance and pre‑collection activities. You will work with SQL‑based analysis, performance monitoring and present clear recommendations to business owners and management.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the performance of performing credit portfolios, including payment behaviour, early delinquency, roll rates, vintages, customer segments and profitability.
• Identify emerging risks and opportunities and translate findings into concrete business recommendations.
• Measure and improve pre‑collection strategies, covering customer selection, contact channels, treatment strategies, vendor performance and cure rates.
• Design and evaluate tests to determine the incremental impact of pre‑collection initiatives.
• Develop robust SQL analyses, datasets and recurring performance reporting.
• Support portfolio sales and forward‑flow transactions through segmentation, data‑tape preparation, cash‑flow and pricing analyses, due diligence and post‑sale performance monitoring.
• Ensure strong data quality, consistent definitions and clear documentation.
• Present findings in a concise, commercially relevant way to business stakeholders, committees and management.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Credit Risk, Collections, Finance, Commercial & Data as well as country teams and external partners.

Required profile

• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Relevant academic background in finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, data science or a similar quantitative field.
• Experience within credit risk, portfolio analytics, consumer finance, collections or another data‑driven financial environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills combined with commercial judgement.
• Ability to turn complex analyses into clear conclusions and practical recommendations.
• Structured and independent working style with strong attention to data quality and detail.
