Remote Financial and Business Controller

About the role

DigitalTolk is seeking a Remote Financial and Business Controller to lead financial planning, budgeting, and performance management across the organization. The role will ensure accurate reporting, strengthen financial controls, and provide data‑driven insights to support strategic growth and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate financial reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage, monitor, and continuously improve financial control systems, processes, and procedures.
• Partner with business units to deliver financial insights for business plans, KPIs, and performance tracking.
• Develop and implement financial methodologies, decision‑making models, and reporting frameworks.
• Prepare financial models, investment analyses, and assess adherence to accounting best practices.
• Implement controls to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Evaluate investments, capital expenditures, and project financing, providing recommendations for strategic decisions.
• Oversee business controlling, financial planning, and management reporting cycles.
• Monitor market developments, update forecasts, and contribute to business outlooks.
• Analyze business processes, financial performance, trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Conduct pricing analysis for deals, identifying margin opportunities and risk factors.
• Support sustainability initiatives, including environmental cost accounting.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in financial planning, business controlling, or related finance roles.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Proven ability to design and enforce financial controls and compliance frameworks.
• Experience preparing financial models, investment analyses, and pricing assessments.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
