Interest & Product Logic Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an Interest & Product Logic Specialist to join our Core Ledger team. You will bridge finance and technology by defining, documenting and validating the business rules that drive interest, fees and product configurations across our internal and externally‑supplied ledger systems.

Key responsibilities

• Define and document detailed requirements for interest calculation logic, accrual rules and fee structures.
• Translate product and business needs into precise specifications for external suppliers.
• Verify and test supplier‑delivered configurations to ensure correct behaviour for all financial instruments.
• Validate mathematical and regulatory correctness of calculation logic, including edge cases.
• Collaborate with finance, compliance and product teams to confirm that deliveries meet business intent.
• Support audit and regulatory reporting by maintaining transparent, traceable documentation.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in interest calculations, fee postings or product behaviour.
• Provide hands‑on internal support to finance, customer service, operations and other teams on interest, fee and product queries.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in financial, analytical, audit or product roles within financial services, lending or payments.
• Strong understanding of interest calculation methodologies (effective rate, simple, compound, XIRR).
• Experience writing detailed financial business rules and specifications for external systems.
• Solid grasp of consumer credit, BNPL or instalment‑lending product structures.
• Ability to work with complex financial specifications and verify correct implementation.
