About the role
Join ABB's Materials Technology & Electromagnetics team at Corporate Research in Västerås to work on a master thesis focused on reversible adhesives for circular product design. You will evaluate adhesive formulations and assess de‑bonding performance to enable easier disassembly of permanent magnets at end‑of‑life.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate adhesive formulations based on chemical, thermal and adhesive properties.
- Assess de‑bonding performance on selected disassembly processes.
Required profile
- Master level education in Material Design, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Chemistry, Organic Chemistry or Biochemistry.
- Ability to work independently under supervision and solve industrial problems.
- Strong motivation and good communication skills in English.
Required skills
- Experience with polymeric formulation design.
- Experimental work with adhesives.
