Senior Power Electronics Engineer

About the role

Huawei’s Stockholm Digital Power Lab is seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to lead the development of next‑generation telecom power supplies and EV charger architectures. You will work on medium‑ and small‑power conversion solutions, driving technology road‑maps and innovative converter topologies for a range of products from natural‑cooled telecom supplies to high‑power EV chargers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal customers to define power‑supply system requirements and shape technical competencies for future Huawei products.
• Develop and maintain technology road‑maps for telecom power, EV charger product architecture and various converter structures.
• Lead research, design, verification and validation of novel converter concepts for power levels such as 3 kW, 6 kW, 10 kW, 25 kW, 60 kW and beyond.
• Partner with external R&D institutes and universities on joint projects that advance Huawei’s Digital Power product line.
• Oversee the design and testing of converter prototypes in R&D laboratories.

Required profile

• More than 6 years of R&D experience in power electronics, preferably in telecom power or EV charger domains; PhD is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset, self‑reliant and target‑oriented work style.
• Deep understanding of technology and industrial trends with the ability to propose competitive solutions.
• Professional proficiency in English and experience in international, multicultural environments.
