Senior Engineer – Medium Voltage Power Conversion Systems

About the role

Huawei Digital Power is looking for a Senior Engineer to join its Power Conversion Technology Laboratory in Kista. You will lead research and development of medium‑voltage power conversion technologies for AI data centers, photovoltaic systems, battery storage, and electric‑vehicle charging.

Key responsibilities

• Research next‑generation medium‑voltage architectures and define technology road‑maps.
• Develop and prototype advanced MV converters, solid‑state transformers and medium‑frequency transformer solutions.
• Collaborate with external R&D institutes and universities on joint converter projects.
• Generate innovative concepts and protect them through IP filings.

Required profile

• PhD or Master’s degree in power electronics, electrical engineering or a related field.
• Several years of proven experience in medium‑voltage, high‑power electronics product design or prototype development.
• Deep knowledge of MV converter topologies, modulation, control algorithms and thermal‑reliability simulation.
