Senior Cloud Security Engineer

About the role

Puzzel, an AI-native customer experience platform built in Norway, is investing in its security function. This role owns the security of the public cloud (Azure and AWS) and private data centre estate, and infrastructure vulnerability management across the company. It focuses on designing, implementing, operating and continuously improving security controls that protect the product, and reports to the CISO. The position can be based in Sweden, Denmark or Norway, with 2-3 days per week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Own the security of the public cloud (Azure and AWS) and private data centre estate: network segmentation, firewall policy, system hardening and patching.
• Own infrastructure vulnerability management end to end: scope, triage, remediation tracking and closure.
• Provide threat modelling and secure design input for infrastructure changes, as support rather than a gate.

Required profile

• Hands-on infrastructure security in a private data centre environment.
• Hands-on cloud security experience in Azure, AWS or both.
• Deep network security expertise: firewall, VLANs, segmentation, WAF, TLS/mTLS, VPN, workload and configuration security, and system hardening.
• Virtualisation platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix or similar.
• Application security testing and OWASP or similar frameworks.
• Experience turning scanner and dependency findings into prioritised, tracked and closed work.
• Existing eligibility to work in the country of application; no sponsorship offered.

Required skills

• Threat hunting and threat modelling.
• SOC and SIEM or other infrastructure security monitoring platforms.
• Vulnerability scanning tools, SAST, DAST and SCA (e.g. Tenable, Snyk).
• Nice to have: Terraform, Bicep.NET, Python or Ruby; penetration testing or red team experience; ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIS2 or DORA exposure; certifications such as OSCP, CISSP or CCSP.

The interview process includes a screening call with Talent Acquisition, then interviews with the CISO, the Product & Technology Lead and the CTO.
