Risk Engineer

About the role

AIG is seeking a Senior Property Account Engineer/Field Engineer to join its Nordic Property organization in Sweden. The role supports underwriting, client risk mitigation, and field surveys across the Nordic region.

Key responsibilities

• Perform property loss‑prevention reviews and document results in a data‑driven application.
• Conduct on‑site risk surveys of commercial and light‑hazard industrial facilities.
• Analyze risk improvements, develop client service plans, and estimate engineering service costs.
• Provide technical support to underwriters, brokers, and clients, including fire and natural catastrophe loss estimates.

Required profile

• Several years of property risk engineering experience (field or account).
• University degree in engineering.
• Fluent in Swedish and English; additional Nordic language a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Excel and presentation tools.
• Ability to perform building inspections using visual and instrument‑based methods.
• Capability to read construction drawings, diagrams, and printed materials.
