About the role

Huawei's Gothenburg research centre seeks a senior expert in high‑efficiency, wideband RF power amplifier and RFIC design for mobile terminals. The role involves leading technical research, collaborating with system and product teams, and ensuring designs meet product requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Research and develop high‑efficiency, load‑insensitive power‑amplifier architectures for wideband and multi‑band RF transmitters.
• Explore RF transmitter efficiency‑enhancing technologies, including power‑converter architectures and new device technologies.
• Design high‑performance, reconfigurable RFICs for wideband RF front‑end modules in mobile terminals.
• Solve technical challenges to meet circuit specifications and product goals.
• Participate in proposing, reviewing, and evaluating innovative technical ideas.

Required profile

• MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience in RFIC and high‑efficiency RF power‑amplifier design.
• Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary teams with strong communication skills.
• Willingness to travel within Europe and China.

Required skills

• RFIC/MMIC circuit design expertise.
• Design of load‑insensitive, high‑efficiency, wideband power amplifiers.
• Design and characterization of reconfigurable RFICs for front‑end modules.
• Simulation tools: ADS, MWO, Cadence, SPICE.
