R&D Senior Engineer - Filters (Capacitors & Filters)

About the role

Hitachi Energy Sweden is looking for a Senior R&D Engineer in its Capacitors & Filters division, based in Ludvika, Sweden. The role focuses on the system rather than individual components, and potential knowledge gaps are filled with technical experts. You will connect different functions, coordinate activities and help projects move forward efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Lead GPS projects and work packages.
• Support manufacturing teams, customers, quality and supply chain with technical issues.
• Guide the team through engineering activities.
• Investigate and solve quality problems reported internally or by customers.
• Support the design and evaluation of filter systems.
• Perform electrical and mechanical simulations.
• Build teamwork across global teams and stakeholders to remove obstacles.

Required profile

• Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of related experience in capacitors and filters.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage filter applications and systems, including their components.
• Ability to work independently and to plan and deliver on time with high quality.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.

Required skills

• Preferably experience with simulation tools such as PSCAD or similar.
• Experience with CREO or other 3D CAD software.
