Quality Engineer - Inspections

About the role

As a Quality Engineer in the Quality Inspection and Quality Control team, you will perform and document inspections according to pressure vessel codes such as ASME VIII, ASME III and PED 2014/68/EU. You will work closely with all Alfa Laval functions, representing the company with suppliers, customers and authorities while ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Secure that manufactured products meet specified requirements and specifications.
• Publish reports and certificates confirming verification of quality control activities.
• Perform reviews of material certificates and manufacturing reports.
• Coordinate and handle non‑conformities.
• Support, participate in and lead inspections and audits.

Required profile

• Confident decision‑maker with a strong sense of integrity and self‑motivation.
• Solution‑focused, willing to go the extra mile and drive continuous improvements.

Required skills

• Higher technical education in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or Quality Management.
• Experience in quality assurance, quality control or inspection within manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret international standards and regulations (ASME VIII, ASME III, PED 2014/68/EU).
• Fluency in English and Swedish, both written and spoken.
• Experience reviewing technical documentation, certificates, painting reports and mechanical drawings.
