Purchasing Master Data Specialist

About the role

JBT Marel is looking for a Master Data Specialist in Helsingborg, Sweden. The role ensures the accuracy, completeness, consistency and compliance of enterprise master data in core ERP systems, covering products, customers, suppliers, pricing and logistics. It acts as a key link between suppliers, internal stakeholders and global teams, supporting trade compliance and decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain product, customer, supplier, pricing and logistics master data in ERP systems, including creation, cleansing and mass updates, and validate supplier data before updates
• Support regular data audits and drive corrective actions
• Maintain product and item attributes such as material classification, item type, weights and pricing, and support new articles and lifecycle changes
• Keep HS codes, country of origin and other customs data correct, and support the move from top-level to item-level HS codes
• Collect and maintain supplier compliance documentation and audit-ready records
• Act as the main contact for suppliers on data and compliance, and liaise with sourcing, purchasing, logistics, supply chain, finance and compliance teams
• Improve processes, update SOPs and work instructions, and take part in projects and system enhancements
• Analyze data with advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, Power Query) and report on data quality and supplier performance with Power BI

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, International Trade or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years in Master Data Management, ERP administration, Supply Chain, Trade Compliance or a related role
• Hands-on ERP experience (SAP, Infor LN or similar); regulated and international environments highly desirable
• Fluent Swedish and fluent written and spoken English
• Attention to detail, analytical and structured, able to work independently and communicate confidently with suppliers

Required skills

• ERP master data structures and governance
• Customs and trade compliance, including HS codes and country of origin
• Advanced Excel; Power BI and data analytics are a strong advantage
• Familiarity with PLM systems (e.g. Windchill) is meritorious
