Project Manager – Production Investment Projects

About the role

ABB is seeking a Project Manager to lead manufacturing investment projects in Västerås. You will own the full project lifecycle from kickoff to close‑out, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and meet internal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver mid‑size to large scale investment projects (5‑25 million SEK) while meeting quality, budget, and schedule targets.
• Manage project resources, risks, and stakeholder communication in a transparent and professional manner.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project execution processes.
• Represent projects in internal and external forums, including supplier inspections and formal close‑out activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial project management, including machinery and infrastructure investments.
• Ability to handle multiple projects (2‑3) simultaneously.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Excellent written and spoken Swedish and English.

Required skills

• Project planning tools such as MS Project and WBS Scheduler.
• Cost tracking and budgeting using SAP.
• RFQ processes, supplier negotiations, and risk management.
