About the role

We are looking for a Production Expert and Construction Manager to support the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) on a contact‑line upgrade project on the East Coast Line. The assignment is a consulting role based in Gävle, working approximately 25 % of full‑time and requiring close collaboration with the client.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice during the design phase (2026‑10‑01 to 2027‑11‑15) on the replacement and upgrade of the catenary system, foundations and poles.
• Transition to construction leadership during the production phase (2028‑01‑15 to 2029‑02‑28), overseeing installation of auxiliary power lines, return conductors, earth wires, suction transformers, isolators and switch wires.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with safety, quality and schedule requirements.
• Support the project manager with technical documentation and progress reporting.

Required profile

• Strong background in railway infrastructure, preferably with experience in contact‑line projects.
• Proven ability to work flexibly and collaborate closely with clients and contractors.
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of railway catenary systems and related civil works.
• Experience in construction management and site supervision.
