Production & Process Engineering Internship

About the role

Join Bosch Thermotechnology in Tranås as a Production & Process Engineering Intern. You will support the Technical Engineering Functions Department (TEF4) by improving existing production systems and developing new ones, gaining hands‑on experience in assembly planning, line balancing, and workplace design.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and optimise current production lines, including workstation layout and tooling.
• Support implementation of lean production methods such as 5S.
• Design parts and create CAD drawings for new or modified components.
• Collect, analyse, and present production data to drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with purchasing, quality, logistics and engineering teams on cross‑functional projects.
• Explore automation, pneumatics, electric circuits, testing system calibration and rapid prototyping with 3D‑printing.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in an engineering programme (mechanical, industrial, electrical, mechatronics or similar).
• Strong interest in production systems, process improvement and industrial engineering.
• Initial experience in a production‑related environment.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to quickly learn new topics.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Swedish or German is a plus.
