Nuclear Bid Engineer

About the role

Alfa Laval’s Bid Hub in Lund is seeking a Nuclear Bid Engineer to support stable bid processes for customers in the nuclear power industry. You will work within a cross‑functional team, translating customer specifications into technical solutions for gasketed plate heat exchangers.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze customer technical specifications and create clarification/deviation lists focused on competitiveness and compliance.
• Provide and optimise cost and lead‑time estimates for special components using internal tools.
• Participate actively in technical clarification meetings with customers and internal experts.
• Collaborate with central functions, sales teams, and experts to ensure bid integrity.
• Quote spare parts for installed Gasketed Plate Exchangers and support cross‑functional projects.

Required profile

• Curious, detail‑oriented professional with strong communication skills and experience dealing with demanding customers.
• Ability to work autonomously while supporting team objectives and balancing short‑ and long‑term activities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of nuclear codes and pressure vessel codes.
• Familiarity with ISO, EN, ASTM, ASME and PED standards.
• Fluent written and verbal English.
