Manager Auxiliary Systems - HVDC Projects

About the role

Hitachi Energy is looking for an experienced team leader to manage its Auxiliary Systems team, which delivers auxiliary systems for some of the world's largest HVDC projects. The team includes engineers in HVAC, small power and lighting, fire detection, security and building automation systems, and works on many complex global projects. The role is based in Ludvika or Västerås, Sweden.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of engineers and specialists, and create an environment where people can grow and perform.
• Drive competence development and succession planning within the team.
• Balance resources and support successful project execution, following up on performance, quality and delivery commitments.
• Improve ways of working, processes and collaboration, and work closely with project managers and other engineering functions.
• Contribute to the department's strategic development and future organisation.
• Champion the company's values of safety, integrity and teamwork.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Previous experience leading people, teams or technical organisations.
• Experience in power systems, industrial engineering, energy, infrastructure or a related technical environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to create structure, prioritise and balance competing demands.
• Experience in resource planning, project support or organisational development.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
