Legal Counsel

About the role

Telenor IoT, a fast-growing international IoT company within the Telenor Group, is looking for a Legal Counsel to provide practical, business-oriented legal guidance across the organization. The role reports directly to the Chief Legal Officer and is based in Solna, Sweden.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate, review and manage commercial agreements with customers, partners, suppliers and technology providers, and support strategic projects, partnerships, acquisitions and divestments
• Conduct legal due diligence and support transaction execution and post-closing integration
• Improve standard contract templates and processes, and ensure contracts are enforceable and aligned with business objectives
• Advise on data protection, international sanctions, competition law and other regulatory requirements, and give advice to Product, Roaming, Technology, Sales and Procurement
• Support corporate governance, including board and shareholder matters, corporate formalities and internal controls
• Select and manage external counsel, and improve legal processes and the Quality Management System

Required profile

• Degree in law (LL.M)
• 5-7 years of legal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department, preferably in an international context
• Fluency in English, written and spoken
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Required skills

• Knowledge of contract law
• Preferred: knowledge of data privacy
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication skills
