Industrial Engineering & Manufacturing Internship (BPS‑MFE)

About the role

This internship is part of the BPS‑Industrial Engineering & Manufacturing Engineering (MFE) team at Bosch Thermoteknik AB. You will support the development of next‑generation heat pumps and contribute to climate‑friendly heating solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist local colleagues with daily shop‑floor tasks and operational support.
• Support Lean initiatives such as S‑CIP, 5S, TPM and Kaizen.
• Develop and maintain KPI dashboards in Power BI, linking data from multiple departments.
• Conduct time studies, MTM analysis and line‑balancing activities.
• Perform ergonomic evaluations of workstations in production areas.
• Provide digital solutions, including Andon/Tact systems and downtime monitoring tools.
• Drive technical and process‑improvement projects using Kaizen and 8D problem‑solving methods.
• Analyze manufacturing data (downtime, cycle time, first‑pass rate) and propose corrective actions.
• Implement technical improvements on the shop floor and standardise processes.
• Support general organisational tasks and special projects.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering or Industrial Engineering programme.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Lean principles (5S, TPM, Kaizen).
• Experience with time‑study methods, MTM and line balancing.
• Ability to create and maintain Power BI dashboards for KPI monitoring.
• Familiarity with digital production tools such as Andon/Tact systems and downtime monitoring.
