F&B Manager

About the role

The Director role is a full-time, remote position at Uppsala University, responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for designated programs, departments, or initiatives. The role involves defining goals, aligning activities with the university’s mission, and ensuring effective planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and supervise teams, manage resources, and oversee key projects to ensure timely delivery and compliance with university policies.
• Represent the university in remote conferences, strategic discussions, and stakeholder engagements while maintaining clear communication across geographically dispersed teams.
• Collaborate with academic leaders, administrative staff, and external partners to drive teaching, research, and outreach initiatives.
• Monitor performance, review reports and proposals, and make data‑informed decisions to support the institution’s objectives.

Required profile

• Demonstrated leadership and management experience, including team supervision, strategic planning, and organizational development.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder‑engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across academic and administrative units.
• Experience with remote work environments, digital collaboration tools, and virtual meeting facilitation.
• Proven ability in project and program management, including budgeting, scheduling, risk assessment, and performance evaluation.
• Background in higher education, research administration, or a comparable knowledge‑intensive organization (highly desirable).
