Expert in Medium Voltage Power Conversion Systems

About the role

Huawei Digital Power is seeking a senior expert to lead the development of medium‑voltage power conversion systems. The role is based in Kista, Sweden, and focuses on designing high‑efficiency, high‑density converters for solar PV, data centre, battery storage and electric‑vehicle charging applications.

Key responsibilities

• Define technical requirements and R&D road‑maps for medium‑voltage power conversion projects.
• Lead research and development of next‑generation MV architectures and converter structures.
• Design, verify and validate MV converter concepts in the laboratory.
• Collaborate with external research institutes and universities on novel converter and control algorithms.
• Generate innovative ideas and protect them through IPR filings.
• Mentor and guide cross‑disciplinary R&D engineers.

Required profile

• PhD or Master’s degree in power electronics, electrical engineering or a related field.
• More than 10 years of experience in medium‑voltage, high‑power electronics and system design.
• Deep knowledge of MV converter topologies, modulation, control and algorithm development.
• Familiarity with MV standards and insulation coordination.
• Proven track record of technology development and technical leadership.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
