Data Platform Manager

About the role

Etraveli Group is building a new, highly scalable data platform that will power both internal operations and external data products. As the Data Platform Manager you will own the technical direction of the core data lakehouse, bridging architecture, engineering execution, and business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Platform Owner, defining the technical roadmap, prioritising daily work and ensuring operational stability.
• Lead the Data Engineering and Data Operations teams, managing capacity, cross‑team dependencies and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with the external Product Owner to align engineering initiatives with business priorities.
• Drive architectural vision, including scalability, security and integration of machine‑learning capabilities.
• Maintain a high‑performing, collaborative environment for engineers.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading data‑focused engineering teams in a fast‑growing technology environment.
• Strong understanding of data lakehouse concepts and modern data platform architectures.
• Ability to balance technical depth with strategic business alignment.
• Excellent communication skills to work with product, BI and business stakeholders.
