BTS Wireless System Expert

About the role

Huawei Gothenburg Research Center is seeking a BTS Wireless System Expert to lead research on Beyond‑5G/6G (B5G/6G) base‑station (BTS) radio systems. You will work on defining, analysing and designing advanced BTS architectures and innovative, cost‑efficient wireless solutions for current and future products.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research on B5G/6G BTS radio systems, architectures and enabling technologies.
• Analyse requirements and design advanced BTS solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including hardware, baseband, standardisation, product design and management.
• Evaluate and review proposed solutions, ensuring compliance with 3GPP and ETSI standards.
• Travel to Huawei sites in Europe and China for project coordination.

Required profile

• PhD or MSc with at least 10 years of industrial experience in the wireless domain.
• Strong background in antenna, microwave and RF engineering, wireless communications and signal processing.
• Experience with radio hardware architectures and digital beamforming concepts.
• Self‑motivated, analytical and able to work in a team.
